New Eddie no es más que el nombre de una recopilación de canciones entre las que están incluídas las 6 que estaban en "Eddie", más otros 6 temas compuestos durante el periodo de separación del grupo. Los temas nuevos son, por orden de aparición en la maqueta, "No Difference", "Crash", "Quiero Avanzar", "Vida", "Homeland" y "Alegría". ¡¡Tambien tienes muestras en mp3 de los nuevos temas incluidos en "New Eddie"!! "Eddie" es el nombre de la primera maqueta que grabamos allá por el año 1999 en el Colegio Mayor Loyola. Está compuesta de seis temas que son "Star" (o 40 p.), "Even", "¡Coño Eddie!", "Silent Breath", "Incendio II" y "Empty Crown". La calidad de grabación no está nada mal, aunque en algún caso se pueda encontrar algún defecto. ¡¡Ya tienes archivos de "Eddie" en mp3 para bajarte!! Buzzstation somos un grupo musical influenciado por muchos estilos diferentes, que van desde el rock de los años 70, hasta el de principios de los 90, pasando por las musicas del mundo y el blues. Comenzamos como una banda de musica rock formada por Manolo (batería), Antonio (guitarra), Iñigo (guitarra y coros) y Mario (guitarra y voz), todos personajes absolutamente cántabros. No había bajo. Tras un año de tocar (o ensayar) temas propios y de hacer grabaciones guarras (siempre hemos tenido casi obsesion por grabar lo que hacemos), el grupo se vio sacudido por la marcha de Antonio, con lo cual nos quedamos tres (dos guitarras y un batería). Sin embargo, y como por arte de birlibirloque...apareció Txema, que decía que tocaba el bajo, y resultó siendo cierto. Despues de haber tocado con Iñigo y Antonio en Receptores Opioides, Txema proporcionó al grupo el sonido de su bajo, que no hizo otra cosa que redondear lo que llevábamos haciendo durante un tiempo. Así las cosas, el tiempo pasó entre ensayos hasta que en abril de 1999 nos pusimos los cuatro juntos delante de un público que abarrotaba la inmensa sala Al Lab Oratorio, en Madrid (unas 100 personas.....) para presentar nuestra primera maqueta: "Eddie". El concierto fue cojonudo en cuanto al rollito que se formó y nos dio animos para seguir adelante. Eso significó otra fecha en un festival de la universidad autonoma de madrid, en varias fiestas de amigos en Santander, y, por fin, en el festival que vio morir la primera etapa de Buzzstation:Calzada Rock Festival ´99, en Cantabria. Entonces llegó la separacion, en la que Manolo y yo (Mario) nos fuimos a estudiar fuera de España. Eso mantuvo al grupo desmembrado durante dos años. En ese tiempo Txema consiguio trabajo como bajista de El Canto del Loco e Iñigo esperó impaciente. Este ultimo y yo aprovechamos tambien para grabar ciertos temas que iban saliendo durante mi estancia fuera de España, los cuales fueron a parar a una maqueta recopilatoria que incluía los temas de "Eddie" más estos ultimos. Tras el tiempo transcurrido, el resultado es que ahora, en el año 2002, la formacion se ha vuelto a componer, quedando de la primera etapa Iñigo y yo, y uniendosenos dos grandes musicos, que son Juan Alberto en el bajo, que tiene experiencia en varios grupos, y Paco en la batería, que al igual que Juan Alberto, atesora un alto nivel de experiencia en su haber. En esta nueva etapa hemos tocado en la facultad de agronomos de la universidad politecnica de madrid, con buen resultado. Sin duda esperamos que esta nueva etapa nos brinde la oportunidad de demostrar a la gente lo que somos capaces de hacer (sea mucho, o poco, segun gustos). - Maquetas |
